On New Year’s Eve, my husband of eight years told me of his plans to leave our marriage, and within two weeks we had separated, and he had moved out. In the months prior to this, we had been working to save our marriage after he had an affair. We had completed couples therapy, and things were surprisingly good. We thought we were one of those couples that would weather the storm of an affair and have a stronger marriage. Therefore, I was blind-sided when he announced he wanted a divorce.
I was devastated, feeling so many emotions and not sure what to do next. My world was crumbling. Thankfully, a friend of mine introduced me to Laura Campbell, and we started working together immediately after the separation.
While I was fortunate to have the love and support of family and friends, it was not enough. I needed someone who had been through what I was going through, and who could help guide me through the process. I needed someone who was there for me 100% without needing anything from me in return. I needed someone who would not only allow me to “be” where I was, but someone who could help me to take the next steps as I was ready.
In addition to providing me helpful, practical separation and divorce advice, such as referrals to divorce attorneys and other resources, Laura has done so much more.
Laura is a wonderful listener and a gentle guide. She is able to “see” exactly where I am and to provide me with the comfort and knowledge I need in that moment. Laura continues to champion me and to help me see this painful and transitional time as an opportunity to create the life and relationships I want.
In the space of six months, with Laura’s help, I’ve already made great changes in my life that have brought me to a very different place. I feel empowered and emotionally strong. I’m surprised at how light and content I feel on most days, and how positive I am when I think of the future. And on the particularly rough days, Laura has been there for me with check-in emails and calls and impromptu sessions to help me through.
The divorce is in process now, and we are just beginning to negotiate the financial terms of the divorce. With Laura’s help, I’ve spent the last few months doing research and getting ready. And Laura has helped me to identify what I want and need. I am a giving person and often take less than I could. With Laura’s help I feel empowered to stand up for myself and to ask for what I rightfully deserve.
I still have a long road ahead, and I’m glad I’ll have Laura by my side every step of the way.

I have had 3 coaches in my life and I can honestly say that Laura Campbell is by far the best I’ve ever experienced. I hadn’t been to the gym in years, one coaching session later, I had joined a gym and was working out 3 times a week. Then, I hadn’t had health insurance for years, one session later, I secured insurance and am on my way to getting my first check up. Each time I was meeting Laura for coaching about practical things. Each time Laura tapped into the personal reasons I feel like a brand new woman! You’ve changed my life.
